Oh the Bairn territory. How she shouldn’t have been there. Yet Aslyn leaned against the wall, her eerily iridescent skin and pale complexion making her stand out slightly from the others. If Kaage, her leader (and she scoffed at that thought at having recently found out that she wasn’t really the Nabila leader yet at all), knew that she was there then she was certain that she’d hear a thing or two about disturbing the peace.
Luckily Kaage didn’t know and even these stupid Bairn seemed to not notice there was a Nabila in their territory which just made her grin as she watched the bunch incredulously with amusement on her face. They thought she was simply one of them and she couldn‘t really blame them for that. It was often, hardly ever actually, that members of other tribes infiltrated like this. They were all so unsuspecting that for a moment she felt guilty for hunting them. Lifting a hand to her chin she debated silently to herself on whether it would be best to reveal what she was simply to put herself at ease or if that would jeopardize her feeding.
Then again she never liked a hunt without a challenge and it wasn’t as if she was starving at the moment seeing as she’d fed on a Jabrai on her way over. No. What she was doing now was simply for sport--for entertainment. So she couldn’t just pick anyone. This person had to be a worthy opponent.
Her eyes fell on a man who appeared a few years older than herself. Muscular, tan, medium length hair. Maybe she was mistaken, but he certainly looked like he’d been in a fight or two. “Looks like we have a winner,” she said to herself with a satisfied smirk. Pushing herself off the walk she sauntered over to him, but made sure to keep at least an arms distance out of reach in case he was smarter than the rest and figured out what she was. “What’s your name?” she asked.
