A soft clicking noise rang out in the current silence of the tunnels, a brief flicker of light illuminating the place for mere moments before darkness engulfed it again. It didn't bother her much. With her eyes, darkness was never a problem or Harley or her kind. Taking a puff of her cigarette, she gave an annoyed tut at the sniveling lump at her feet. “Oh lord...” she rolled her eyes and bent down to it, grabbing the male human at her feet. “What's with the water works hon? Aren't we having fun?” she put a lot of emphasis on the last word. He tried to shout out a comeback, but being gagged, it was hard to do. “Please.” Harley snorted standing back up and kicked him in the gut. “You were more than eager to follow me down here. I I recall correctly, you were acting so much.. braver too. More manly. Strong. Someone worthy to turn.” She pressed a boot down on his face. “Such a disappointment.” She flicked the cigarette down and it hit his chest, making him flinch. “Hahaha!”
Lifting her foot for a moment, Harley slammed it back down. A muffled scream echoed faintly in the tunnel. She smashed her foot into his face again and smiled as a satisfying 'crunch' noise sounded out. She moved her foot and her eyes made out the mans broken nose, blood pumping out of it. Harley took a deep breath in through her nose. The metallic scent was strong and so tempting. Putting her hand down on his face, Harley jerked his head about, smearing blood onto her hand and making him cry out in pain as she pressed down on his broken nose. He cried out. “Oh quite your whining, you big baby.” she said pulling him up into a sitting position. Her fangs slid back out and she put her mouth to his neck and drank. It wasnt done neatly. Not the two little pin pricks at the side of the neck. She bit into his neck almost savagely, tearing off a large chunk and gulping down the hot, salty red liquid that pumped out.
At first he tried to push her off, and struggled, but like many before that slowly stopped and he went limp. Awesome. Now lets see what loot he brought to the party. she thought, letting his corpse drop and hit the ground without a care. She looked at the backpack he brought down. It wasn't a bad hall. Two packets of cigarettes, some packed dried meat, a bottle of liquor, painkillers and a small spiked club. “Eh, nothing all that amazing, but not bad.” she mused, retying the bag and slinging it over her shoulder. Had anyone heard her? Probably. She leaned against the wall, waiting to hear if anyone would be drawn by his sounds. Her hands went into her leather jacket pocket and her fingers slipped through her knuckle dusters. Tonight could be pretty eventful if the noise attracted the right sort of people.

Heavy steps echoed in the series of tunnels- that of multiple people in a group. Steadily they made their way in navigating throughout the structure. Mangus, being a Trusted, was in the front of the group, but without a map. Two people behind him were instead reading the hand-drawn map and telling everyone which way to go in order to reach the city. The only reason he was making a second trek today was because he wanted to go out and find his partner who had split from him sometime after reaching the blackmarket. Still he had seen no sign of his comrade and he wasn't really worried- more aggitated than anything that he wasn't there to help him. Maybe he'd have to have a replacement if he was remained missing after today. There would be no doubt something happened would have happened to him by then whether it be that he was caught by the government, eaten, or simply lost.
Some of the group tensed while others stopped moving forward completely. After getting to a point where there was two ways he could turn he turned to ask them where to go and realized some of the group was lingering behind. "What is it now? I thought it was established no one was afraid of the dark or any creatures lurking around here." He stared down at them. In the silence he could hear something now- some struggle or little fight going on."We have numbers on our side, hell," he still finished, brushing off the unsettling sounds. "I'm not wasting time making you come with me..even though it should be in your best interest to do so!" He was given the directions after he quieted for a moment. The others heard the sounds and didn't want to continue in that direction. Right then some fled for safety. Magnus had started out again, but heard them rushing in the opposite direction. "You have no mind, man?!" He shouted after them, surpised, and finding disappointment in their actions. That was disloyalty at it's finest!
Maybe the noises would lead him straight to their lost person! That would be great! "He really was vicious," he told a person next to him that started to shake. "Use your weapon if you're so scared you can't do anything else! Don't you think it would be stupid to run?" No. Pretty much everyone else thought it was a pretty good idea to leave now before they were seen and wait until later to continue the search. Magnus wanted to see who this was, though. They could be his next traveling partner if they met his standards and replace the one he'd lost. He was starting to get over loosing the man when thinking about he could be replaced right now with someone he got along with better.
"Ah, tsk tsk tsk. Such a messy vampire," he greeted the woman, metal golf club dragging against the wall as if in warning. He took a look at the person, trying to distinguish if it was someone he knew. No. That wasn't his color of hair he didn't think. "Now what if that was my friend I lost?" He frowned. "You looking for trouble, Miss? 'Cause I think I'm just going to pretend it was." It gave him a reason to swing the golf club at her face. "Get her from the other side!" He called out to the rest of the group that was with him, but there was no one there anymore. The sight ran them off. They would rather not pick fights they didn't have to get into to begin with.

There it was, right on cue she heard the sounds of footsteps close by. It sounded like a group. However, most of the footsteps sound were getting further and further away. There was a faint smell of fear and nervousness in the air. She held the back of her hand to her bloodstained lips as she snickered. Her little commotion had actually freaked out a bunch of people so much they fled? The struggle hadn't even been that loud! What the hell were people like that doing down in the Tunnels if they spooked so easily?! There was the case now though, of the footsteps that kept coming in her direction.
Harley leaned her head back against the wall as the figure finally came into sight. A male wearing a hat and wielding a metal golf club. The club being dragged against the wall certainly didn't give the impression that this guy was some trembling noob. This was someone who liked to play hard ball. "Ohh" she pouted, her tone sarcastic. "Please hon, you'll hurt my feelings." she said to his little messy comment. She pushed herself off the wall, her hands falling to her sides and fists clenched, knuckle dusters at the ready. She stood tall as he spoke, chin up and a smirk on her face.
"Oh he was your friend? Well had I known he was due to meet up with someone as cute as you I would have hung around a little longer and the three of us could have had a little fun. That's all I want. A little fun. " Her eyes widened a little as he announced he was going to just take it for granted that sack of bled out meat was his friend. She laughed and pointed a finger at him. "Funny guy. I like that." She let her rucksack slide off her back and kicked it against the wall. "Once I tie you up like him, I think I'm going to take your hat."
"--Shit!" the club came at her face and she moved back fast, her eyes narrowing. As he yelled she frowned but then laughed loudly, putting a hand on her stomach. "Get her?' Pleeeaase babe," she tapped her nose. "I dont smell anything living around here except you and me. Also you and you're little underground explorers? Yeah, you might need to give the team a little pep talk on the art of walking quietly. It's just you and I." she repeated before running at him. She held back using her full speed. That sort of ruined the whole experience, and she wasn't done sussing out it this new toy was something worth keeping in one piece or not.

A vampire would be a perfect partner to tag along with him, wouldn't it? She seemed to use her powers to her advantage- even much so that she played with her prey. 'A bit sadistic, okay, but that's fine'. As long as he could get himself on her good side it wouldn't matter all that much anymore. But, he was beginning to wonder why such a vampire was allowed to go out and about. They're supposed to be better than that, but he knew there were many more just like the one before him. 'Their whole society is like that. They're just good at hiding it,' he thought. "I'll keep in mind your sensitivity the next time I make a comment then. I sure don't want to hurt those feelings of yours." What fake sympathy. He pulled the club near him and looked to her hands for a weapon. Nothing?-- No. She had metal on her hands. 'Hm brass knuckles. What a choice. She has to have quite some confidence in herself to think she can hit with those,' he got to thinking.
His brow pressed down for a second in reaction. "A little fun.. Alright," he muttered to her as if she needed his agreement. He'd stay and see if she could be any use to him. Her act wasn't scaring him off so far, but maybe he was just being to confident. Magnus had to prove himself as a worthy Trusted every now and then again anyway and beating a vampire would be a perfect chance. She was feeding his ego a bit by some of what she said, so he wasn't in any rush to run off just yet. Her shock caused a soft smile to appear on his lips. "I'm sorry I didn't warn you, but I'll say it now: I don't play nice." Magnus gave her some distance from him moreso than he considered he needed himself. The club beat against his palm in waiting for her to near him. "Hmm the hat's always been mine, soo I'm afraid I can't hand it over to ya." A finger tapped the hat's rim, moving it slightly up on his head as he spoke about it.
Then anger crossed his expression, growing the more he heard from her. He didn't take it too lightly whenever she insulted his group no matter how unorganized or unprofessional they were. Gone?! They left him? No they didn't. He saw no sight of them as he dared to glance behind himself. They were probably running back to say he couldn't be saved then. They left him here on purpose- he was certain. "I'm not very well-liked I suppose," he said quietly as he then caught from the corner of his eye her figure moving closer and pretty fast. He stopped trying to see if his group was lingering and looked back to Harley. Vampires aren't super fast. People must've been exaggerating all this time. She was fast enough that he had to rush himself, though. "You running to give me a kiss on the cheek, sweetheart?" He asked, turning a cheek towards her and tapping on it in encouragement as he raised the club with his opposite hand. He kept the club horizontal as if he'd take a blow instead of swinging it.

Magnus' reactions did nothing less of being a delight to Harley. Whoever this guy was, he was just the dose of entertainment she had been looking for. Harely met all kinds. A lot would be taken easily by charms and flirting, more would analyze her as this man was doing, but they would be seemingly more cautious and reek of nervousness. Only a small few didn't stink of fear and even fewer, would do what Magnus was doing and actually talk back to her with such wit. She gave a wink as he told her he would be more mindful of her feelings in the future. "Much obliged." she cooed to him in the same cynical tone, giving him a small curtsy. It was noted how his gaze lingered on her weapon of choice. You like these? she wondered, just itching to show them off. Don't worry, I'll give you a nice and close look soon.
Well what do you know? He was actually agreeing to play around with her for a while! Her taunting hadn't scared him off yet, and he didn't seem in all that much in a rush to find a way out of the tunnels. His smile at her reactions to almost being hit by the metal club were a tad infuriating. Harely didn't want to come across as a fool, though, it probably would have been worse had she been actually hit by the swing. Her jaw clenched a little and her fingers were wrapped tight around her brass knuckles as he spoke to her, and she gave nod of an understanding of sorts. "Good. I wouldn't want to play any other way!" she told him. "Wanna see if my bite is worse than my bark? " At the mention of his hat she gave a soft chuckle and picked at the opened leather jacket she was wearing. "You know, I think that's what the guy who owned this jacket said right before I took it."
Her words about his little party followers seemed to irk him a little. Good. Hopefully it would have the effect of adding gasoline to fire would. It was thanks to that glint of anger, Harley acted and decided to strike out when she did. Perhaps he'd be distracted enough to delay in defending himself. Wait... on second thoughts, I hopes that's not what happens. Come on Hon, show me me how these little play dates are supposed to be. she thought as she neared him.As he turned his cheek to her and tapped it, Harley couldn't help but giggle. "Heh, you're cute. Only if you insist sweetheart." she retorted.
Harley noticed how he was holding the club and thought it slightly odd. She chose to follow through with her actions. The club wasn't in the way, hell, he didn't seem all that intent on using it at all, so why not go in for a hit? In her eyes, he was practically giving her a free hit! Such a gentleman. Drawing back one of her closed fists, her eyes fixed on his cheek ready to deliver a punch to it. "Let me show you how much of a knockout I am~!" she said, her voice building up towards the end as she released her fist, aiming it towards his cheek.

Huh. She really was a character. He hadn't met anyone like her in a while that would just fight for the sake of fighting- sort of like him, and of course that being so he liked that quality. "Vampires can't heal themselves, can they? It'd be too bad if I gave you something permanent." He wasn't that educated in the limitations of other species, maybe the strengths or really basics if anything. Vampires suck blood, run fast, and apparently are strong too. Blue eyes studied Harley. There was no way a woman was stronger than him. She just looked average other than how her face still showed the last meal she had with that dried blood on it.
"You wouldn't change me now, would you? I thought I was good just the way I am. I hope you know at least I'm not part of those defenseless humans." He considered the defenseless humans were those without any power- useless now. And apparently vampires could tell who was what and she knew he wasn't one of them. Magnus didn't really care to feel those fangs either- in any way- considering seeing what they did to another right before him at his feet. The man was nearly unrecognizeable. But, he didn't see himself in a bad situation. Since he had no backup this should be easier as he didn't have to tell others what to do and her anticipate the moves- it's just him and her. Like she said. She seemed to like it that way too since the one lying on the ground appeared to be the victim of being alone and crossing the wrong person. "I'm not that guy," was all he said. No one had been able to take his hat and keep it. He'd always been determined to keep it no matter what. It was a reminder of the simple times maybe.
Mangus reacted naturally to her throwing a punch at him, being that he was used to battles, and he really should be in order to even be considered a Trusted. But, he wasn't exactly used to those with weapons on their hands, and did not think through how he shouldn't be trying to block it with his own hand until he did. Maybe he should've been watching the stranger more closely..but he didn't think of such. There was a twitch in his expression and tightening of his jaw as he hid the not so pleasant feeling in his palm. She's not that strong, no- she was a woman! My hand shouldn't hurt! "You like catching me off guard, huh? I guess you want my full attention. You've got it," he said in an excuse for a silly action. After blocking it he went right into another maneuver, going more to her side and swinging a leg at the back of her knees while putting pressure on her arm to encourage her falling. Maybe she'd loose some spunk if she was grounded a few times. Hitting the ground of the tunnels wouldn't feel nice, but he was hoping she'd catch herself to prevent anything too bad happening. If she didn't kow how to fight she wasn't worth playing around with. The end of his club would do a good job of ending the crazy vampire. It was just a choice in his hands.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Harley wagged a finger at Magnus as he questioned her about the healing. "I hope you're being sarcastic hon. 'Know thy enemy'. Isn't that one of those rules of war?" she asked tilting her head, putting a hand on her hip. "We heal fast alright. I wouldn't worry about that too much though if I were you." she said, a little bit of arrogance in her voice. "You're not going to give me more than a split lip I'd imagine." she shrugged, hoping to prod at his ego and get a rise out of him. The more riled up someone got, the more entertainment it would bring, wouldn't it? Harley was certain of it.
Harley chuckled. Would she change this poor soul? No. In a weird way, she found herself agreeing with him. He was perfect just as he was. He didnt need fangs and blood lust to glitz him up any. If anything the powers might change his attitude, and that would just be a plain crime against nature. "Of course you're not! Unless being down here has messed up my nose, I can tell easily. You're Gifted." she replied. His scent wasn't that vanilla, regular human smell. Not at all. To Harley those gifted humans always had a more spicy smell about them. She smiled a toothy smile as he pointed out that he wasn't that guy she had taken the jacket from. It was hard to tell if her expression was friendly, or unfriendly. "We'll see if your end result is the same as his." she said, the fact that he seemed more than determined to keep his hat, drove her on to take it from him. Be he alive or not.
There was something very instinctual about how he blocked her attack. This wasn't someone who got caught up very often in fist fights. Or at least, fist fights that involved brass knuckles. Otherwise, he wouldn't have caught onto her hand dead on, all of her force going into the palm of his hand. A giggle escaped from Harley as she noted the twitch in Magnus' eye and his jaw clenching a little. "Aww did I hurt your poor hand?" she cooed to him as he gripped onto her still closed fist as he seemed to be thinking to himself. "Catching you off guard is a bonus." she admitted. "But I expect nothing less than your full attention. This works out perfectly--" she said a sneer on her face before her eyes widened. He moved quickly to one side and she felt her knees go weak thanks to the blow of his kick. Her knees buckled and she nearly toppled over herself as he yanked down on her arm. No way! Not this easily! she thought, her sneer dropping into a small snarling expression as she watched him from the corner of her eye. She let herself drop to one knee, as she tried to pull her captured arm from his grasp. Her free arm pulled back and she let it fly towards his thigh, trying to get a hit in before springing back up to her feet. Shit! Don't forget about that freaking golf club. Her free hand drew back fast, her eyes searching for his weapon as she readied herself to either take a hit, or block it.

His eyes narrowed as Harley shook a finger at him. That was one of those things that just annoyed him without much reason. "Sure it is." He didn't sound like he cared too much if she was right. "I know you well enough..You're one cocky vampire if I ever did see one." She was ridiculous in his opinion. This whole 'know thy enemy' talk was stupid. What's the use of knowing an enemy if you don't know how to just fight, and as Magnus said he knew enough about her anyway like anybody else. Every aspect was impossible. "Anything's going to feel this club. I don't need to know anything else. That's just a waste of my.. precious time." People were people, so they fought like people-- and werewolves were animals, so they fought like animals. If he knew how to fight their weaknesses wouldn't matter in his eyes. He wouldn't be able to remember them anyway. Magnus fought instinctually more than anything to do something in a second's notice rather than hesitating and paying for it. It made sense to him anyway.
The anger from before never really left him, and it was showing again with how his lips downturned. No more than a split lip? That sounded like a challenge that he'd be glad to take and prove that she was oh so wrong. He felt sort of odd as well as it was odd to know that him having powers was given away by his mere scent he couldn't hide. Does that make him vulnerable? No. No such thing as vulnerable in his mind, or that he'd admit to. "Ahh," he exhaled, but didn't sound very relaxed like he wanted to. "I would've much better liked it to be a surprise." But, vampires had some sensitive noses apparently. "Speaking of 'know thy enemy', you don't know what it is I can do.. But I do know what you can do. Vampires have only so many tricks." Magnus said, acting as if he'd been against them many a time when this was honestly his first time meeting one. And he was sure that this one, first vamp he'd met or not, wouldn't be leaving with his hat. He didn't care to repeat himself.
Something like his hand getting hurt didn't do a thing to his confidence- that was more frustrating than anything. Even holding a grip on her arm hurt horribly and he could be a baby whenever it came to pain. Harley was picking at his nerves, though, so he couldn't act like that. Magnus let out a hiss as she mocked him. "I can still use it, don't worry," he told her, sure of himself. His fingers were wrapped tightly on her as his palm throbbed. He was silent as he tried to get his mind at least a little off of his hand and continued through usual fighting tactics. "Think I'm taking a break, honey?" She seemed to be caught off-guard herself as she made contact with the floor. When Harley fell his mind went to his other hand he'd rather use that also wielded his weapon. Instead, though, he aimed to give her hip his boot right to let her fall over completely while his right hand prepared to let go of her arm in encouraging that. The short moments while he went to do so he saw her arm raise and promptly swung the club down at her, not particularly at her arm. He moved his leg quickly, hand releasing it's grip on her. "Ooh!-" the soft noise showed his surprise. "I thought we were just friends." He said, recovering. She sure was swinging or reaching low there for a minute.

All that anger... Harley smiled sweetly as Magnus mouthed off at her. Her expression only grew serious as he spoke of how thanks to being Gifted, he had a slight advantage. He knew what she was capable of, but she didn't know what this guys greatest advantage on. "Yup, though you havn't sprung you're little surprise power on me yet have you? Unless...you're on of those twisted ones that have the ability to fuck with peoples minds." She chuckled a little. "You're kind can study all others. Know all their weakness and tricks, while yours are impossible to predict. Most of you I would imagine, are easy to crush as a normal human, but, the thing is what will you do to defend yourself from that? That's your advantage. And that's why hon, if there is ever a big war - And in these turbulent times, its only a matter of time until a big one breaks out-, I'm placing my bets on you guys to come out as top dogs." she said, finishing her little statement with a click of her tongue.
Harley felt his hand throb around her fist. he was putting on a tough front. "Aww don't cry baby ~" she teased. He had been about to strike her with his boot, but thankfully he spotted her fist and seemed a lot more focused on protecting himself than kicking her over. "Oooh we're best friends!" she replied to him as she fell back a little since he release his grip on her.
Free at last! Or almost, she rolled to one side as the club came down rather close to her face. She sat up, glancing to her right. Her rucksack. Had'nt there been a bigger make-shift weapon in their earlier? She rummaged through it and pulled out the small spiked mace. The rusted nails scraped along the floor as she hurried to her feet. "Speaking of friends, knowing names is a good start for that huh? So, let's start the ball rolling. Hi, my name is Harley, and I'm a Scorpio." she smiled as she went to swing the weapon near Magnus' face. "I like long moon-lit walks, a packet of smokes, and running around that marvelous playground up above." she swung the mace at each item of her liking.

The pain in his hand wasn't helping his attitude, if it did anything at all it probably worsened it. Magnus breathed in through his nose as he rubbed his palm that felt like it was just pulsing with pain. Man did he hate that. "I don't have to rely on some power for everything I do," he said and probably sounded arrogant by now, not just confident. "Shoot.. I don't even know if you can take it." As he spoke about his power he swung the golf club at her for good measure. It seemed like he was listening even when he was starting to use the club more. All the while he was starting to watch her hands. His own hand still hurt from it and he had enough sense to know he didn't want to get hit with it again. Who knows what she did whenever she hit him, but it didnt feel good, and that was clear in how Magnus stopped using it.
"Face it. Making them a lil' scared won't defeat 'em. I could do that without any special power. But threatening someone with something they don't know about..they'd give in, don't you think?" He paused, lips partly open as if he was ready to continue, but he seemed generous enough to let the woman talk. What he heard wasn't bad at all. "I'm flattered," he took the whole gifted on top deal probably a bit more personal than she ever intended. It was a compliment to his capabilities as a gifted. How sweet of her. "How'd you like to be part of it?..There may be an opening for you right now," he said without explaining much at all. He perked a brow after the questioning.
"Nah, sweetheart. Don't worry about my hand. I'm all smiles," he replied right back to her, flashing his pearly whites. He wouldn't admit he wanted to shed a tear or two at his hand that hurt like hell right now. "Now there's all more the reason for you to kiss it.. A kiss'll make it better, huh? Isn't that how it goes?" In anticipation of her swinging her legs right around at him or maybe her fists again since he let go, he took a step or two back. Magnus watched her instead go to some bag of hers. "What 'cha got there?" He wondered as she dug through it. "A present for me? I think it's too soon." He commented when he saw her reveal a nice weapon of hers she had hiding. Well, it gave away the location to her bag of supplies again, too. He'd forgotten about that. That was plan B. He'd just take that and go if she didn't want to come with him. Right now he was quickly nearing her again in taking long strides in her direction.
The metal of his club met with the ends of nails on the mace soon enough. Magnus stayed composed whenever she swung it towards his face as he was confident even his left hand alone could keep it from actually getting him. "Is my face that handsome that you want to smash it in with anything you get your hands on?" His face scrunched some with the sound it made with contact as the two metals scraped against each other. "Pleasure to meet you Harley," he managed to slip in as she began telling more about herself. He was quiet except for a chuckle that escaped him as she appeared to be getting more comfortable swinging the mace around. "Reminds me of the motorcycles- I don't mind them at all, or hot rods for that matter. I'm a simple guy, that's all. My small games of golf have changed a little since I'm no longer able to enjoy putting around some golfballs, so now I settle for some annoying person's head..and where are my manners? I'm Magnus." He swung his club at her more, changing spots where he'd aim- free arm, chest, kneecap. It was his element for all he was concerned, but he began to feel a small burning sensation on his face. He wiped away some blood trying to go towards his lips. "Hmm. Is some blood going to make you go berserk on me? I don't want that now," he nearly sounded condescending not concerned for his well-being. He was ticked those damned nails were able to get in some nicks at his face. How the hell'd she do that? He was paying attention! She wasn't too strong or too fast! He put the pressure of his weight behind the swings now in wanting to push her back and now. He'd love to pin her against the wall and break that mace of hers. It just wasn't fair for her to have two weapons, and he was of course all about fairness.

Harley bit her lip to hold in a laugh as he arrogantly declared that he didn't deem her able to take whatever little power he was hiding behind. "Oh sweetheart, you have no idea what I'm fully capable of." she said with a wink. She leaned back, dodging a blow to the face by the golf club just in the nick of time. It would have been annoying to have a mashed in nose, or a few lost teeth. Her eyes lit up as she noted his focus. He was keeping a particular eye on her hands. "It stings, does it ?" she asked in a sweet voice. "The whole surplus strength is a nice surplus, only emphasizing my many talents. I had meant to shatter your hand but, things don't always go according to plan. Wanna give me another whack at it?" She asked, trying to be polite about it.
She hummed as he spoke to her. "That's true I guess. I mean, you're a pretty scary guy, even without the threat of an unknown power." There was a hint of sarcasm in her voice as she spoke. She raised a brow as he took in her previous comments, and responded rather well. "I may have slight maniacal tendencies love, but I'm not brain dead." she said, being as honest as she could. "An opening? Why this is all so sudden. I mean, I haven't had any time to put a resume together. And then there's practicing for the interviewer's questions, and I'd have to find appropriate work clothing..." she gave a dramatic sigh but then sobered up her expression some. "However, you're offer is something to consider. Heh, I always wanted to play double agent." she admitted.
Good, things were getting a little too serious there. she thought as he brought the focus back to his busted hand. "My, my, what bright, shiny teeth you have." she said before puckering her lip and blew a kiss in his direction as he asked about a kiss to make his hand better. "That's how it goes but... that hand of yours... I don't want to touch it all that much. Especially with my mouth! I mean, who knows where its been!" she teased him. She didn't seem all that upset about revealing her stash of new goodies. Ok, if he took her cigarettes she'd be a little pissed but the rest wasn't all that great. Not to her.
Vibrations were sent up her arm as her mace collided with his club. Ew, that feels horrible. she thought pulling a face. At his words she gave a bright smile. "Oh don't flatter yourself dear! It isn't exactly that your face is so handsome - and for the record, you don't have a bad face. However, this is more a case that you talk so big, that your ego has made your head the biggest target I can see." she grinned, wincing slightly as the metals screeched. "Why thank you." she said, as her arm swung back and forth. "My dad had a thing for motorcycles. At least, that's what i tell people." So, bikes, hot rods, golf and simplicity was what he was into. Can't say the guy has bad taste. she thought, "Oh those games of golf are always the best to play. Maybe we could have a game together some time." She was about to comment on his name when she felt the club meet her kneecap. Not a nice meeting. She cursed as her leg went dead, sending her off balance. She caught herself against the wall and pushed herself back upright quickly. She was limping, her knee starting to turn a mixture of purple and ugly yellow, but she'd make sure it was ok later.
"Blood?" The scent filled the air and her eyes gazed at the small wound. "Don't worry Magnus. I promise you, I've had my dinner already. I'm not the girl to snack on something so soon after a big meal." she chuckled. "I'm not gonna freak out..." she was back on the attack. "Though i noticed, those little scratches aren't doing anything to change that cocky nature of you-" she probably should have been paying more attention.
Her mouth dropped into a small frown as she was suddenly put on the defense, trying not to get pummeled by that metal club. "Aw and i thought we were enjoying ourselves!" she protested. There was a loud crack noise and a chunk of her mace fell off. She couldn't help but stop midway in battle and stare at it. "Honestly... what did that dude make this from..." One of her eyes twitched.

He gave an airy laugh as she spoke of her capabilities. "You're funny. Thinking you're hotshit and all," he told her when he could have very well been speaking to himself..How long had he been here? Twenty? Maybe thirty minutes tops? He wanted a direct answer to what he was looking for and that'd determine the outcome of everything. Especially for Harley. But he guessed it would take more encounters for her to warm up to the idea of changing sides all of a sudden. He knew how indecisive women could be. "Since you're so worried about it..I'll let you in on some insight- it doesn't feel too snazzy," he said, almost sounding defeated. He admitted it, there. "But, no need to fret. I can hit you just fine with this club in my other hand," and he felt like he was demosntrating that well. "Maybe after I return the favor," he offered not very seriously as Harley talked about her 'surplus' and whatnot that he wasn't really listening to. All he wanted to do was wrap his hand up, but this obviously wasn't this time or place to do it. If she thought he was just here to be her punching bag she was crazy. Magnus narrowed his eyes as he listened to her and something in his expression showed he wasn't liking her attitude more and more. He was probably tiring of it. "Yeah. Just think about it," he said in a softer tone, seeming to ignore everything else she said. She was just making excuses. "It's a different lifestyle, not career."
He took pride in his appearance, so the remark about his teeth was of course heard. All else was sort of lost. He liked to think his hands were pretty clean considering others around here. "Can't say yours are better." He hadn't exactly inspected them or anything but she just fought with some..trash. He liked to think it was a human she killed, not any superhuman like himself. A human was a sitting duck hiding behind a few big guns and nothing else. 'Fools think they can overpower anything. They're no better than the animals roaming'. A rather disgusted look was spreading across his face and it didn't change for the better whenever she insulted him. "It's normal-sized unless you vamps eyes are like those circus mirrors." He couldn't have some confidence in himself? It helped him survive anyway, so he didn't care to fight her about it. She could stay ignorant for all he cared. She was just some rabid vampire called Harley. It could be some alias for all he knew. That's why he didn't really tell her very much personal things about him. All he revealed were some hobbies that any person could have. "You have a father you made up or somethin'?" Aah he shouldn't have said anything. He didn't want her going into complaining about no childhood or some depressing story. She just said it odd so he asked her about it.
"Yeah?" while reminded of the new games of golf he played he eyed the club as if admiring it after it struck her good in the leg. She looked to be limping now. "No need to wait. You might be in one right now, Harley," his voice darkened with that, showing a possible sadistic nature he developed given the new world he lived in. After he said that he went quiet as he wanted to break that weapon that was able to put a scratch on him. He heard Harley say something about the nicks and only glanced at her. Of course they wouldn't. He'd be an idiot if something as little as that hurt his confidence.
He was closing in on that weapon of hers while she tried small talk. He grunted and made a swing right at it and felt empowered that he broke it. One less thing to dodge? "Nothing I couldn't break," Magnus remarked as he thought about it not being hers. That bag might be the dead man's instead of hers.. It couldn't have much helpful stuff in it then. Maybe one simple treasure or two was hiding in it. He'd find out given time and opportunity. In the meantime he'd keep picking at Harley. "Hm. What's so interesting about the thing? It's no good now unless you want to hand me it for a nice stake." He tossed the club to his other hand which wasn't his best idea. "Shit!," he hissed then seemed to want to gain back composure as he went to grumbles. He just held the club up, the bottom resting on the ground. But, that hand wasn't what was doing something interesting. His left hand had been thrown up to take Harley by the throat like any gentleman would. [/size]
