It had been some time since Bullet had interacted with others, when she thought about it, she really had never interacted 'nicely' with other at all. This wasn't because she was rude or violent, it's just people on the outskirts primarily stayed to themselves and weren't always the most welcoming/polite individuals. Bullet wasn't sure how she would react in a situation were she had to actually communicate with others and work as a team, but she was ready. No matter what, she knew this was the right thing for her. Once she made her ways from the outskirts of the city, her mind had quickly been reminded why she lived on the outskirts.
The city was depressing, dilapidation and ash choked the air that she had so hesitantly let fill her lungs. There were rusted cars with their paint slowly peeling away, like that of a healing wound. Her fingers gently brushed upon the body of the car, her thumb and index finger teasingly peeling at the chips of paint, rubbing the chip between her flesh. It disintegrated into a fine soot, leaving her fingertips a pale orangish color. Her nostrils flared, burning slightly picking up a faint hint of gasoline. Her good eyes' gaze cascaded over the heaps of ruble, her heart yearning even more for the outskirts, at least there was some sort of fresh air and some sort of greenery. She shook her head quickly pushing away the thought of going back. Loners didn't survive long and she promised herself that she would live longer than the rest.
Her mind needed to be focused on the task at hand, joining a clan, a family that would take her in. She had made her way to the tunnels. There were rumors that would carry on the wind, echoes of ceilings collapsing and screams of those that had become trapped under the rubble. She could sometimes hear them at night, ear piercing and blood curdling sometimes. They would last for hours until a sudden halt, you then knew what had happened. Knowing the dangers Bullet still began descending the steps. Again her hands scoured the wall for some sort of aid, with her good eye it still made it difficult to keep balance. Her feet shuffled upon the steps, taking carful note of where one step began and one step ended. Her feet planted onto the floor finally, her fingers feeling the dampness in the stone that made up the tunnel. Her eye pierced the darkness, her hands still guiding her until she found where the Jabari called home.
Her feet hesitated, but her arms moved forward causing a wave of movement that her body couldn't keep up with. She slipped to her left knee, skinning it slightly before standing upon her feet. She brushed herself off and cleared her throat, the noise piercing the silence and echoing through the cavern. If only she could find someone now to show her a way or maybe even welcome her, or even tell her to turn back and leave. Any sort of interaction was welcomed at this point.

It would be impossible for Caleb to know everyone in the area though he liked to imagine him as a down to earth sort of fellow that knew most if not the majority of the pack. He tried to be an easy going enough and approachable fellow until he needed to be the leader--and he certainly wasn't afraid to show who was in charge when he needed to. All in all he was happy with his balance and tried not to let the power get to his head. They were a pack, a team, a unit, and he always tried to remember that.
But while he didn't necessarily know everyone in the pack, he could tell if someone was an outsider or not. He stood leaning against the wall with his arms folded across his chest. His eyes were narrowed on the person as he watched her closely. The first thing that crossed his mind was an enemy infiltration of some sort, but as he kept his gaze on her he soon shook his head with pity as she seemed rather clumsy to be a spy. And quite honestly with the way she stumbled about she looked quite pitiful. Of course he didn't rule out that it might have all been a trick, but at the same time he wasn't going to simply stand there and watch as she fumbled over herself.
With a sigh he approached her. "Careful there," he said with a nod of his head. "You make it kind of obvious you ain't from around here," he said. Just from the smell of her he could tell she was one of them--a Jabrai. Nodding his head slowly his ideas shifted from her being a spy to being a nervous new recruit wanting to join them. The corners of his mouth lifted upwards in a smile as he was much more relaxed about her simply wanting to join the pack.
"And you're here because you're a lone wolf, aren't you?" he asked with his hands on his hips. "What's your name?" he wondered. "If you don't mind me askin'."

The faes body grew slightly rigid as the brute closed the space between them, she hadn't even seen him standing there against the wall. She must have looked a fool stumbling around the corridor as she had. The hairs upon her nape slowly rose as she shoved her hand out awkwardly to meet his even though he wasn't offering. Her gaze moved down to her itruding hand and cocked a brow. Wow Bullet...you are ridiculous right now... she thought to herself as she retracted her hand back to her side. She didn't want her first impression of herself be of a bumbling oaf.
"My names Bullet...Bullet Zurina...." her vocals were strained slightly from the stuffy air that filled her lungs, but there was some sort of confidence. She was proud of her name and wanted others to know that. "I am from the outskirts....but there is nothing left for me there so i have moved inland in search for a clan to join" her words where smoother now, cooler actually. She seemed to gain a sort of oomph that obviously radiated from her.
Her head lifted, her gaze now on the man. Her eye contact hadn't faltered as streams a sunshine hit upon her face, illuminating her scars features. Her lips curled into a bowed smile, the blood vessels upon her right cheek looked angry, you could see them pulsing slightly under her delicate flesh. She paid no attention to the massaging surges of blood that could be felt upon her cheek bone, it was normal and was just habit now. Her orbs surveyed the man in front of her, he held himself in a way that only one rank could, Alpha, she was glad that she had met him first. You could always tell a packs demeanor by how the Alpha acted, and he was cordial and friendly, yet reserved and inquisitive.
I hope i am not to forward for asking this...but am i, a person from the outskirts, welcomed here? she asked. She knew it could be dangerous for her to be here. People from the outskirts weren't always looked at as...equals. They were basically scavengers and not at all trustworthy, she hated having to be grouped with them.

It was just as he’d thought--well just as he’d thought the second time. “All right,” he said, crossing his arms again as he examined her. His eyebrow rose as she held her hand out towards him and he looked at her curious as she continued to bumble around. Although he knew that he probably shouldn’t, he couldn’t help but chuckle at her awkwardness. People were normally so relaxed around him, despite his position of authority, that it found it amusing.
“I don’t know yet, Miss Zurina,” he replied with a shrug. “We’re not going to pick a fight with you, if that’s what you mean. Yeah, we’re wary of outsiders, but who isn’t? Maybe I’m wrong though, but you don’t look too much of a threat. Either that or you’re a damn good actress.” He made eye contact with her as he told her seriously, “But this ain’t no charity. You want to stay here then you’re going to have to earn you place in the pack. Got that? I don’t want no dead weight around here and I don’t expect it. You’re going to work and work hard.”
Once he was sure she understood he nodded his head. “As long as you know that then I don’t see a problem with you staying here. After you show me what you can do to contribute to the pack, of course.”

Bullet listened politely as he spoke, she took in his wors letting them sink into thr cravises of her mind. She pursed her lips inquistatively as she scratched her head. As she heard the words charity her auds perked ever so slightly. Things must be worse than she thought then if that's what one of his main concerns were. She swallowed softly and continued her gaze up at him, something about his jaw line was intoxicating. WHy was she even staring and what about him made her somewhat giddy. His jaw seemed so strong and fierce, she would love to see him shift and see how powerful they looked from that side. A shutter ran through her body while he watched her, she tried not to fidget, well...at least fidget enough to be noticeable. Her lids fluttered, as if trying to wake her from some sort of daze. She shook her head and gave a sweet smile. "I wouldn't be here if i didn't feel i had some sort of talent to bring you that would aid you in these hard times", she lied....she had hoped her voice hadn't given away. She truly didn't know what she could bring to this pack in all honesty, but she sure as hell wasn't going to let anyone else know that!
Again she smiled, but this time it was awkward, her jaw became tired of trying to hold her lips bowed into a forced smile. Once she stopped smiling her muscles relaxed. She moved a bit closer to the brute, her eyes narrowing slightly as she peered into his stern gaze. "I'm sure i can be of some use to you...i may be an ugly duckling and uncoordinated, but i know i'm cabable of holding my own weight." She wasn't bad mouthing herself, she just knew how she came off to people and she understood that, but she wasn't ready to let her issues reflect on her ability to contributing to a pack.
