Group Ranks
Male/Female Leader
The leader of Bairn may be born into the position or voted for; the leader may be challenged at any time as well. Within the territory, they are expected to be planning for Bairn's future, attending meetings, organizing supply patrols and whatever else is needed. The leader's living area is a two roomed place, arranged any way they desire with a bed build into the wall. There is plenty of storage, including a small crawl space for someone to hide in if needed.
Companion
A companion must attend meetings; they are expected to bring their suggestions and ideas to the table. If someone becomes a companion, they may find themselves completing jobs for the leader, planning events and completing small simple tasks. They have the trusted around as guards, but they also do tasks for others, if that is, if you are courteous enough. A companion lives with their partner, and may spend a lot of time there. Hidden somewhere in the home is a secret safe, nothing too big, but meant for the Bairn companion to use.
Trusted
These select few are the law enforcers in Bairn, they keep things in order, and are well known by the civilians. If they are selected by the leader or even the Companion at times, their goal in life then becomes protecting both. They would normally help out with planning, organizing meetings and even searching for looting in the city. Another main job is keeping an eye on the group's supplies, making sure everyone thrives, instead of dying off. Living quarters would be one room, a bed built in the wall but most conditions depend on your earnings.
Civilian
Civilians of Bairn normally include small families, earning their keep any way they can. One of the easier ways would be salvaging loot from the city above, or having a trade of some sort. Patrols are only sent out once a day, but only for 5 hours at a time. Being above ground that long is playing with life and death; if the surviving government catches a civilian, then they're on their own. Living conditions aren't the best; each family is given a room to live in. Sleeping on the floor in bedrolls, people awake to the grey sewer walls (unless painted by the family) around them. Built onto the walls are shelves for storage.
