General Appearance:: Nikolai has been described as a tall and muscular man with a somewhat daunting nature. His dark brown hair colored hair is kept short and his almond shaped eyes are an icy shade of grey and at times appear to have a faint blue hue to them that makes his expressions appear that much more intimidating. His flat eyebrows have a low arch to them, if any, and are complimented by a straight nose and full bow-shaped lips, that cover a set of teeth, which grant him a very intense and unwavering look. His skin is smooth and fair toned, while his hands are somewhat calloused. Nikolai also has a tribal tattoo that is wrapped around his upper right arm, which signifies an eternal loop that obtains obstacles throughout the design resembling life.
As for Nikolai's style of dress, it is a very clean wardrobe. He prefers long sleeves as opposed to short sleeves (but doesn't mind wearing one short sleeve every other week or so). He does, however, tend to roll his sleeves up no matter what. Nikolai also prefers to wear jeans that are straight legged since they are a nice and comfortable fit. He usually wears his brown or black work boots along with every outfit. Overall, his style of choice is one that is kept together, and clean. Simply put.
Nikolai carries himself with a sense of authority that could quickly come off as intimidating. He keeps to himself, but makes sure to make at least some sort of eye contact with those who pass him by, to let them know that he is still present. His initial expression appears to make him seem frustrated most of the time, which he does not mind much, since it keeps others at bay while he's around.
Personality:: Nikolai is of a tempered character, thus making him quite the threatening one around other people. Although he is, at most times patient with others, he does have his moments when he can erupt with relentless anger. He does not believe in sugar-coating words, or lying, therefore you can always expect him to tell you the truth, even though it may be hurtful to listen to. Nikolai is very reliable when it comes to accomplishing his tasks. If there is someone you can always depend on, that would be him. However, he despises the notion of having others do his work; mainly due to his trust issues, and independent nature. Despite the fact that he angers easily, it takes much more to cause him to be violent. He does not take the idea or the act of fighting kindly, but can and will defend himself or others when the need asks for it; no more, no less. Nikolai also runs by his own set of morals and values, and as a result, will not submit to requests that do not seem legitimate to those ethics.
Vices and Virtues
Likes::- Outdoors - Not being able to accurately explain why, Nikolai feels in-tune with the environment. Which is why he looks forward to spending most of his time in it. He feels as if it radiates energy that ends up supplying him as well, making him feel cool-headed
- Meditation - In order to stay (somewhat) calm, he has adopted the method of meditation which he practices on a daily basis, before and after a scouting excursion or mission, so that he may feel focused and more at ease
- Night time - Nikolai loves the quietness that the night offers. He especially loves it when the moon is full and the stars are shining bright. This is not to be affiliated because he is a werewolf. In his eyes, the stars have a pattern, as well as a story that come to comfort him when he so needs it
- Order - In his eyes, everything has a place, and everything should be in it's place. No arguments needed, no exceptions made; end of story
- Equality - He enjoys it when there seems to be an equilibrium between both genders and the females are able to keep up with the males, while the males are able to stay in tune with the females.
Dislikes::
- Crowds - Even though he is not physically holding his breath when in the presence of large crowds, he feels like he is. He becomes much more tense, since he is uneasy in that particular type of environment, and becomes exhausted afterwards
- Outsiders - Nikolai is not fond of outsiders, or strangers. He is territorial, therefore he believes all newcomers are suspicious in some way. He is protective of his own, and thus is always on alert with new faces
- Sleeplessness - Other than his reoccurring nightmares, he does have another reason why he loses sleep some nights, and it's mainly due to his silent over-excitability. When he finds something that interests him, he will unconsciously pursuit whatever it is until he is satisfied or loses interest
- Public Humiliation - Nikolai knows that he himself is strongly affected by this negatively, and therefore would not want anyone else to go through it. If it was one thing that could and would haunt him, it would be to be humiliated or embarrassed in a public setting
- Disrespectfulness - Being a man of traditional standards, he cannot tolerate it when someone is being disrespectful without given a reason to be so, and therefore will confront that individual with anger tenfold. This is especially true when it comes down to men disrespecting women
Strengths::
- Physical Strength - Although not violent, he is able to take a hit as much as he is able to give one out. Also, because of his daily exercises, he is much more capable at dodging and deflecting those incoming throws than the average man
- Dedicated - Even though it can be seen as a negative trait some of the times, it usually comes at his favor. He will not cease until he accomplishes his tasks as seen fit, and can always be depended on to come through
- Trustworthy - If it's one thing that Nikolai can pride himself with, it would be his trustworthiness. He does not lead anyone to doubt his actions, since he is very straight-forward and honest on his motives towards you. If he can tolerate you, he tolerates you, and if he dislikes you, he'll tell you. Nothing more to it
- Logical - While others are visionaries and daydreamers, Nikolai keeps a leveled-head on what can and cannot be accomplished. Even though the challenge he puts out may be a difficult one to carry out, if he states that it is achievable, than it most likely is
Weaknesses::
- Excoriates Himself - Although others may not be able to see it, Nikolai is continually criticizing himself harshly, feeling as if he could have done things differently to make the outcome an even better one. He's never truly content with his results, and is prone on exploding on others because of it
- Temperament - He has come to know that he has a raging temper and that it does not seem to excuse anyone from it, and becomes even angrier at the fact that he can't control it even when he's trying his hardest
- Silver - The mineral is a physical weakness due to the fact that he's a werewolf. If he has a wound of some sort come and it comes in contact with silver, the mineral will enter his system, and may even prove to be fatal if not treated quickly
Secrets::
- He hopes that his mate will be an assertive woman who will stand her ground and fight with him to get her say in things, and will at times, dominate over him. He finds this desirable and incredibly sensual.

His Story
Nikolai was born the only son to Stefan and Anya Youngblood. He had the favorable life growing up: open space to roam in, friends, and loving parents. On his spare time, Nikolai preferred to play the game of Hunt that he and his friends, Kohona, Catori and Makani had created. On one particular day, the game had started off like any other. The four friends would choose ground, and assign titles. While Nikolai and Makani were both entitled 'The Hunted', Kohona and Catori were assigned 'The Hunters'. Both boys scrambled off to hide themselves from their predators, and had unknowingly stepped into another pack's territory. An hour passed and yet no sign Kohona and Catori. There was a sudden rustle in the bushes behind them and as the boys turned to tell them it had taken them long enough, they encountered five daunting werewolves that were more than obviously not from their own pack. As the grown wolves taunted and even began to chase the pups in an attempt to catch them, and dispatch them, one wolf caught Makani by the leg with a forceful bite, and brought him down, head colliding with the ground first, forcing him into a state of unconsciousness. The moment that Nikolai ran back to help his wounded friend, Kohona and Catori arrived alongside Nikolai's, Makani's, and their own parents, knowing that the boys had gotten themselves into trouble after they weren't able to find them. As the other parent's made way between their young pups and the threatening older wolves, Catori's father caught hold of Makani, while her mother guided them back to their land. As they ran, the earth began to shake and tremble beneath them. Once they reached their refuge, Catori's father left Makani to the pack's healer, and paired up with Catori's mother to aid the others. The trembling turned into powerful quaking, and yet no sign of the older wolves. The evening turned into night, the night into day, the day to another day, and still no sign. Just as the pups were going to begin losing hope, two injured wolves arrived: Catori's mother, and Kohona's father. Their arrival only confirmed Nikolai's suspicions even before they explained that they had lost the others in a mixture of the other pack's attacks and the earth's quakes. This did not deter young Nikolai from helping Makani deal with his own loss once he woke from his coma, which he never did. The entire event caused young Nikolai to enter a very deep despondency. Months turned to years of silence, but Kohona and Catori would not let up. They wouldn't let Nikolai torture himself with reliving the past again and again only to further blame himself. A total of seven years had passed when he began showing signs of life, although now, in a very different way. Angry and destructive could have been used to describe him, until his breaking point a few months later. When Nikolai had finally let Kohona and Catori take a step inside of what he felt, and help him face the hard truth of what they had gone through that night, did he put an end to his rage. Since then, even though he has lost most of his sense of humor, he is now able to show a faint smile every now and then, and is much more civilized, however keeps his guard up, as well as an mental wall causing a distant barrier between him and others.
