Underneath the soil, in the ground below the old city, was a network of tunnels. Tunnels used by the survivors of the apocalypse on a daily basis, some closer to the Nabila territory were painted with bright colors. This made the place less dull and boring, though it didn't get rid of the stale air. Light footsteps could be heard by anyone with a keen ear, though no human would pick up on it. Turning the corner a female vampire could be seen, dressed in dark jeans, a black tank top and sporting a navy blue sweater. Her dark long hair hung behind her, free like it normally was. Sniffing the air in front of her, Kaage headed in the direction of the black market. She hoped no one would notice her, to enjoy a day away from her life is all she wanted.
She could already hear voices ahead, they whispered about prices and promises about there own wares and goods for sale. Farther a few children could be heard playing, though Kaage tuned in on the sitting area. A place to order drinks and food, and a few tables and odd chairs were supplied for customers. As Kaage entered the Market she stayed to the shadows, watching the market as she picked out any threats that might be detectable. Picking up nothing so far, the leader of Nabila moved forward in her disguise.

"If you're selling them for what you did last time, it's a whole man," the man standing in front of him said, shifting his eyes to see if there were any prying eyes or within listening distance.
"Come on, Jay. That's doubling the price from when I last came!" he went on to say. Last time, he had been able to buy a pack for half of what he blond wanted now.
"Sorry Logan. We're running low on this brand, man." "You're kidding with me right?" "Nah, man. Wish I were though."
Logan could see his sincerity on his face. Times were hard. Have been since the apocalypse hit. His hand speared through his hair as he tried to figure out what to do. The prices were killing him, but he knew that he had to buy his cigarette dosages. They helped him distract his thirst for that of blood. Something he found gross to the very thought of it. Logan let out a rather loud sigh that let his friend see his discontentment with the whole ordeal.
"To hell with it, man. Give me two packs," he said to his friend as he reached into his pocket and pulled out two vials filled with a desaturated amber-colored liquid. Angel dust. He knew the damn things were hard to find, so they sold for a high price, but it shouldn't have equaled that of cigarettes. He looked around to make sure no one saw the exchanging of the two.
"Don't know where you get these things, Logan, but yet again, I don't think I want to know either," the man said as he reached out to grab the vials and hid them from everyone's view.
As Logan got his two packages in return, he gave a thankful nod to his friend as he turned away. Opening one of the packs after he shoved the other in his sweater pocket, he pulled out a single stick and brought it to his mouth. He lit it up and continued making his way out of the crowd of people.

Behind the crudely made counter, sat a few bottles of liquor, tobacco products, drugs and anything else along those lines. Studying the bottles for a moment, Kaage reached into her pocket and pulled out a bag of Nabila made medicine. They were known to work well and fast, for many sickness and wounds for the groups. Kaage kept her face neutral as the man behind the counter made his way toward her. He smelled of body oder with a mixture of liquor and cigarettes, the clothes he wore looked like he lived in the tunnels. Could be true. Plenty of people lived in the tunnels, they would rather not live among a group.
Setting the herbs down, Kaage pointed to her choice of poison and watched the man pour a drink. The sound was music to her ears as the glass slide across the counter, stopping as she caught it in her hand. Bringing the glass to her nose, she let the scent fill her for a moment before taking a drink. The warmth of it slid down her throat, and filled her belly. Not as good as blood, but it would do for now.

Inhaling a large portion of his newly bought product, Logan let it linger within his system for a few moments, letting the warmth settle, and then let it out as he made his way towards the sitting area designated for the tunnel's merchants and customers. The place was lively. Many were talking amongst one another, all while their children ran a muck around them. He scoffed at the sight, and thought about how he would never let Halo step inside these blasted markets, even less the tunnels themselves.
He sat on a bench that was left by itself at the edge of the area and placed himself looking away from the rest that took up residence there. The bench was made out of a wood that still contained it's faintest natural smell. It was a nice change from the liquor filled stench that lingered around the tunnels as it mixed with it's own grimy scent.
Bringing the cigarette back to his lips, he was about to take yet another inhale when two men began arguing quite loudly. Their voices were that of drunken men. Logan simply rolled his eyes as he hoped it would dissipate soon enough. Which it had not.
Instead, one man was pushed into him which caused Logan to lose his cigarette all together. Trying to hold his patience between he blew up, he was once again forcefully pushed back to the table, having his chest hit the wood with a painful collision.
Regaining his breath, Logan stood up and said, "What the hell, man!" Dismissing the one who had been pushed into him with a push of his own, that sent him flying off to the ground, he walked up to the bastard who had pushed the other into him in the first place, and gave him a forceful push of his own.
The other retaliated and pushed him back when he regained his stance. Which was the last straw for Logan. Bringing back his arm, he let the man receive a blow from his fist that went straight for his jaw.

The drink was now half empty, the other half now rested in her empty stomach. Knowing she could not get drunk Kaage enjoyed her drink in peace, until a beer glass missed the back of her head by inches. It crashed into the wall located behind the counter instead, luckily for whoever threw it. Still holding her drink, the female vampire turned in her chair to get a better view. The sitting area had a few customers besides herself, a single man sat beside himself and stumbled forward when bumped from behind. The cigarette he had been smoking fell from his grasp, as it landed on the floor the man was once again pushed. The fight had started to escalate, though Kaage had a feeling it would be over soon. As her guess become true, the stranger took care of the first guy like he would a feather. Smiling as she took another drink, Kaage eye's glowed red as the scent of blood hit her nose. Hearing the snap of the mans jaw sent a excited chill down her back, she crossed her lower legs and leaned on the counter. " Now look at what your doing, wasting so much delicate blood." She was having some fun, and hoped it wouldn't end so soon.

The scent of blood hit Logan's senses hard. As any other vampire's would, his eyes began gaining a red tint, and gained even more when the blood began trickling out the man's mouth and down his chin and led a visible trail down to his neck.
Instinctively, he covered his nose with the sleeve of his sweater to lessen the aggressive scent that was filling his lungs. He heard someone voice their obvious liking for the blood that was slowly escaping through the man's mouth. Logan gave her a quick glare and noticed the tint her her eyes match his own. He turned and began walking away from the crowd that gathered around, in order to escape the delicious scent of the blood. That was until he felt something hit his back hard, causing him to stumble forward.
When he turned around to see who had just grown the balls to hit him, he received blood filled spit to his face. As Logan wiped it off the best he could, he muttered out, "You fuckin' bastard" when he stalked back towards the man who he had just punched moments ago, and gave him yet another punch, but this time from the other side of his face which led him to tumble down to the floor in obvious pain. Which was exactly what Logan was hoping for.

The fact that the man pretty much ignored her made Kaage a little irritable. She was use to living in Nabila for far to long, she needed this more then anything. Setting down her now empty drink, the female vampire stood and brush a hand through her hair. Her eyes still had a red glow, though there was plenty of blood around here to choice from. Taking her time moving through the two bodies laying on the ground, Kaage bent down to inspect them. The one man loss to much blood, but that's what happens when your jaw is almost ripped from your mouth. The other body seemed a better prize, plenty of warm blood inside and still slightly alive.
Her thoughts were now jumbled, and only the thought of feeding got through to her. It was a little over powering, but nothing new to Kaage. As the female vampire moved to stand up she was pushed forward, and happen to land in a pile of blood. With a half growl half hiss, Kaage jumped up and turned to face her soon to be dead attacker. A man stood before her smelling of wet dog and stale meat, his clothes were worn like most cloths these days. Werewolf. Just her luck, she would meet a vampires true enemy. Just one bite could kill a vampire, or it would do something fucked up and make a high bred like her. Glancing past the Mutt she noticed he wasn't alone, but at least another three were watching the stranger. Now how would she get out of this mess, and even worse if a werewolf found out who she was, they would kill her on the spot.

He stood there forcing himself not to let his primitive instinct take over his body. Even though the sweater smoothed out the smell of the blood, the scent was just too alluring. He could almost feel the red tint grow in his eyes, turning his once hazel green eyes into a daunting dark red that was enough to send most capable humans running away faster than ever before.
Logan snapped out of his daze when he saw a figure fall on all fours a few feet in front of him, straight into a pool of the bastard's blood. As he attempted to focus on the real situation that was occurring in front of him, he found it difficult due to the fact that the girl who had been pushed sent blood flying in various places only making it that much more mesmerizing. However when four bulky men began surrounding her, he all but snapped out and glared at them.
Sure, he knew he was not the best person around. He held his hefty share of faults that caused Avery to take Halo away from him. But if it was one thing he couldn't stand, it was the fact that a man would ever lay a harsh hand on a lady, and by the looks of it, these few men were planning on doing just that, and possibly even more.
Without giving himself the chance to think about it some more, he stalked his way towards the girl on the floor with long strides while keeping his sight on the men that surrounded her. Already having knocked the living daylights out of the other man, he knew he wouldn't have a problem laying one on all the brutish neanderthals.

Standing between so many werewolves made Kaage stand on edge, she would and could not take on all of them. Sure she could take a few down with her, but in the long run she would be killed. What would happen to Nabila if she passed? Not wanting to think about it Kaage glaring between the four figures before standing her ground, she noticed the male vampire coming closer. He seemed ready for another fight, so she could probably count him in on her side. Kaage's gaze found what seemed to be the ring leader of the mutts, she made sure to show her dominance. "Well I could say I'm surprised, but I could smell your kind anywhere. Wet dog and stale meat, quite the repulsive creature."
She was ready when a fist came flying at her from the right, ducking before it reached her Kaage sent her foot flying. It hit the ring leader in the legs, making the man fall on his ass with a yelp. Before he could get his thoughts strait, the female vampire grabbed his foot and threw him across the room. " Have a fun flight Whelp." Before turning back to the fight, kaage felt a foot connect with her face and she fell back a little. Bringing a hand to her lip Kaage could smell her own blood before she saw it.

Standing just in front of the brutes, Logan saw that the girl picked herself up and took a place beside him, and to his dismay, she then began doing what he last expected. Running her mouth. Sure, as of that very moment, he could take on two or three of them by himself, but it did not mean that he was going to go off and get them much more fed up than what they already were when they saw him arrive.
"Can you not instigate?" he all but shouted it to the girl as he looked at her with a serious look embedded on his face. However what she had just said rang in his ears for a few moments. The bastard's were wolves. Turning his gaze back at the brutes, he could see the mongrel side of them now.
All of a sudden, a fist came flying towards the girl. Goddamn! Do canines not have any morals to speak of? Just as the fist had finished flying through the air, missing both of them, the girl sent her own limb towards the man, having it collide with his leg causing him to fall over backward. The sight would have had Logan laughing if someone had not kicked the girl in the face.
"She's a lady, you bastard!", he said as he brought his hand back and punched the man who had committed the act. His hand hurt, but the fact that he was a big enough low life to do that to a lady was even worse. Just as he finished punching the guy, he felt a fist collide with his ribs while a leg crashed upon his left leg causing him to fall onto his knee. As if on cue, the one who he had just finished punching got up and returned a fist of his own that impacted brutally onto his face.

It was as if timed moved slower for a moment or two, everything happened so fast even for a vampire. The fight had now turned dangerous for everyone in the Market, she needed to contain this fast and then get the hell out of there. Her fellow vampire was now being slightly over taken, and she was unsure what the mutts would do next. With one last glance around her, Kaage made sure no one recognizable was around before collapsing in pain. Her whole body felt like it was burning up, but in truth she would soon shift the odds of this fight. Her eyes shifted to that of yellow wolf eyes, as her body started transforming itself into a massive wolf.
Kaage still remembered the day she was turned, it was more like a curse really. But this wasn't the time to linger in the past, the future was more important at the moment. Shifting her gaze toward the others the newly shaped Kaage took a step forward. She could smell there fear and knew they had only heard stories of her, though they had no clue she was leader of Nabila. No they had there lore, and old myths about this curse.

Logan felt blood trickling down his jaw, and felt as if the blow he had received to the rib had possibly even broken the bone. As he attempted to get up, he just accepted the fact that it most likely was due to the sharp pain that coursed through his injured side. But he couldn't let the brutes know that. They'd use the weakness against him.
Instead, he tried his best to hide the pain from his face and stand up straight while he held onto his side trying to make the pain subside some. If it was one thing that he had to give the wolves credit for, it was their strength.
When he looked up to see the face of the four men that surrounded them, he caught the horror that filled their eyes. From one moment to another, their expression went from that of angry to that of terror. Slowly turning to see where their eyes led, he noticed that they led to the girl who he once thought was a vampire up until she transformed herself to a wolf-like shape. His own expression turned shocked as he back away a few steps, uncertain of what to do next.

A growl escaped her throat slowly to build up there fear, she then took another step toward them. Her fur as dark as coal covered her wolf body, which was at least twice the size as a normal wolf. Saliva dripping from her teeth, Kaage lunged forward into the air and came down on one of the werewolves. Digging her teeth into the mans face Kaage could taste the blood, the mans voice cut off with a gasp as he died. Glancing over at the male vampire, Kaage shook out her fur before turning toward the others.
The three remaining werewolves stared at her in terror before running, they pushed each other as they left the market all together. Kaage couldn't help but chase down her now fleeing prey, it was now a game of catch and chase. Sprinting after them she took the doorway to fast and her side hit the wall, but this did not slow her down. She moved down the tunnel, there smell was getting stronger and she would close in on them soon.

What the hell was going on? The girl was supposed to be a vampire, and from Logan had assessed, she was. Her eyes grew a bloodthirsty red as she cooed about the wasted bloody man that he had punched in the jaw. They matched his own eyes, if not brighter. But his sight didn't fool him either. She turned herself into a mutt from right beside him. The bone cracking was evidence of the fact that she turned herself into one.
He still was in his daze when he saw her leap up off the ground and take the brute's face within her teeth and could hear the final gasp the man had let out before he turned completely motionless. Seeing this the other three men turned around and began running for what Logan had understood was their lives.
Turning his eyes on the girl he began wanting to tell her to let them go, but it was too late. She had already took off right after them. Forcing himself to get up and follow after, he felt various stabs of pain that were concentrated around the right side of his chest. There was certainly a broken rib of some kind, but he could not let up. She was going to get herself into some trouble and well, he simply didn't need the weight of the burden resting on his shoulders.
He knew that they couldn't have gone too far. Even though the men were wolves, they hadn't transformed themselves into any, so were only as fast as a human. The girl would and could only go as far as the brutes did, mainly because they were her main target. With that in mind, he continued on his staggered run towards the few.

The fur around her paws were now wet and covered in dirt, the tunnel floors were disgusting. But the wolf side of Kaage didn't see anything wrong with it and kept going, stride after stride she could finally see her prey ahead. Though there was now only two werewolves ahead of her, the scent of the third man was no longer present. Kaage could hear the footsteps ahead as the two ran for there petty existences, they didn't smell like Jabari pack, so mutt was the proper name for them. As they came within a good jumping distance, kaage used her back legs to push her forward and through the two mutts. Turning to face what remained of her prey, her eyes picked up on something she did not expect. Each werewolf wore gloves, and in there hands was silver. The thought that a werewolf would go near silver repulsed her, but she was now more cautious and picked out only two weapons. This could still be an easy win for her, plus a meal for her now empty stomach.
