The sight before him was strange, having some random male vampire show up with the future leader of Nabila would not be good. She would hear from the royal council if she lived, they would like nothing more to gain the leader position. If they were to see her an unfit leader, she would have someone deal with her. It had happened twice before, though Adair knew that the council had no idea they had the cure for silver poisoning. It had taken Kaage a few years, but she had finally completed the perfect medicine. As Adair took a second he realized it may be to late this time, her wound was now black and if she couldn't stay awake the silver was winning. The battle for her life would soon be over.
As he pointed toward the couch he slept on, Adair made his way to a cabinet hooked to the wall. It was an elegant looking piece of art, hand made by a civilian in Nabila. It was given to Kaage as a gift, but was now used for medicine. Pulling out a cloth pouch of herbs that Adair grew, he picked out the other needed pouch and closed the cabinet. He realized the stranger had asked him a question, but had missed it. "If I could get you to stay here, I may yet need your help. I just have to mix this together then I'll get you to feed it to her, I'll also need to get some blood ready. If she wakes up she won't be able to control herself, she'll want blood and you'll have to help me control her.
As he spoke Adair kept moving, he mixed the two herbs together in a glass bowl. The color didn't look to good, but it was normal and the smell was right. It was now in a slightly liquid form, the little water he added would help Kaage drink it. Passing the bowl and motioning for him to feed it to her, Adair moved down to her leg. " She will need as much of that as possible, try to make sure to spill any. The silver has had plenty of time to kill her, so after the medicine is given it's up to her. If she has the strength to awake she will, if not you should disappear. They will look for someone to blame, and well you would be fine for them to sacrifice. Um What do people call you?"

It had caught him off guard when the young boy had asked him to stay even longer than what he had accounted for. Since he had reached the master chamber, he thought that was the last of his tasks, but evidently, there were now more to see through. Now, it appeared as if he had to be present up until she woke. If that were still a possibility at her current state.
Turning away from the wooden double doors that were only a few feet from his grasp, Logan took a few steps back to where he originally stood beside the sleeping girl. Absentmindedly, he scratched the back of his ear as he stood where he was, looking at the boy who ruffled through the hand-carved cabinets that were set up against the wall. As the boy continued searching for whatever it was he needed, Logan let his hand drop only an inch so he could hold onto the tiny piece of metal that pierced his lobe, before letting his hand drop completely into the confines of his jeans' pockets. The boy opened some doors as he closed others until he found all that he needed. Dismissing his own curiosity, he now listened to whatever new instructions the white haired boy gave him.
"Wait, she won't be able to control herself?", Logan repeated Adair's statement, only this was a question. "You mean, she'll be in total bloodlust when she wakes up?" The idea was somewhat hard to imagine. He could not recall a time when he had to fight against another vampire's strength in order to detain them from their own thirst, but he had heard stories that basically mentioned that the task could prove to be a difficult one to accomplish.
Holding out his hands to attain the bowl that the boy had given to him, he moved over to the couch and sat at a free edge that was left open beside the sleeping body.
Logan held onto the bowl in both hands as he wondered how to come about feeding it to her. Sure, it should not have been such a hard thing to do, but what else would it be with someone that was in a such a weak state, like hers? Breathing out a sigh, he finally decided that he just let her drink it, on her own (unconscious) will, he brought the bowl to her pale colored lips and lightly tipped it to let the liquid flow towards her slightly parted lips.

Something smooth and cool made contact with her lips, the sensation made the vampire more aware. The burning inside her was dull and dieing, though it was winning over her body. She could no longer feel much of anything now, her eye sight was still blurry and made her more worried and cautious. Stirring in her sleep a little Kaage parted her lips and took as much of the liquid as she could, the rest she coughed up. The taste was enough to make anyone sick, but somewhere in her mind she knew it was medicine. Something about it was familiar, like she had tasted it a few times before. But this all seemed like a bad dream to her, Kaage was unsure what was real at the moment. Was she really here? Or was she just sleeping?
Adair watched her take as much medicine as she could, it should be enough to help her win the fight. The silver would be taken care of quickly, but the rest would be up to Kaage to fight off. She would be weak and in need of blood, but that might not do it if she gave up. He had plenty of bottles filled with blood, ready if she woke up and kinda went crazy. Standing up and walking over to a small sink, Adair washed the blood from his hands. " I'm sorry if you don't want to be here, but your doing a great thing for your people. If that matters to you..." There was a knock on the door that made the boy jump, but he quickly recovered and shut the water off. Drying his hands on his pants the boy walked over to the door.
Taking a quick look over his shoulder, he motioned for the other guy to hide somewhere. Adair was unsure what they would do to him, hopefully Kaage would wake soon. She would be the only one to put the royal council in there place, but without her they would fight over who would lead Nabila. Reaching for the door handle he opened the wooden door, on the other side of the door stood three royal members. One was loyal to Kaage, the other two would only be here to see if she was dead yet. " Kaage is busy. What do you three want now?" He kept the door half shut, but as one member pushed there way in the others followed.

The liquid neared towards the edge of the bowl, and made it into her lips. None seemed to be wasted and flowed right down her throat. Logan moved closer to the edge of the couch, hardly even sitting on it any more, as he felt her move some signing him that she was awake. Or at least, partly. He continued pouring the liquid, bit by bit, until she drank about the half of it and rested it on his knees for a moment until she gained a few breaths. After she had, he held the bowl back to her lips and tipped it once more, only this time she coughed some up, which ended up with some drops landing on his navy blue colored t-shirt he was currently wearing.
He had not quite noticed, or paid much attention to, when the small boy, Adair, made his way across the room and began rinsing his hands in the sink, until he spoke to him. Since it seemed as if the young girl would only be coughing up the rest of the liquid, Logan held it in-between his hands on his lap, and listened to the boy talk to him. He was about to answer that it wasn't a problem, just not exactly what he had planned for the day when there was a sudden knock on the door. Looking at the door for a second, and then fixing his gaze back at the boy, he gave him a questioning look.
The white-haired Adair only answered with a wave of his arm towards somewhere behind him, motioning him to hide. Which he questioned for a moment, but gave him the benefit of the doubt and went to go do as he was told. Taking a few strides towards the general direction he looked around and finally picked out a door that seemed to be one of a closet. Whatever it was, the space would be big enough to hide his six foot and one inch stature better than anything else.
Since it was made out of a solid wood, with positively no holes or cracks in it, he could only rely on his sense of hearing to hear what was happening on the other side of the door. That was, unless he began growing anxious due to the confined room. Taking deep breaths to keep him steadier than what he would normally be given the situation, he closed his eyes and attempted to picture himself some place else. He hoped this confrontation would be a quick one, or else they'd see an uneasy male walking, or possibly even jumping, right out of the closet.

The music flowed through the air and lifted higher into the sky, blending with the clouds that littered the light blue open sky above. The air was fresh and smelled of wild flowers and pine trees, the suns rays hit everything in it's current path. A woman in a white sun dress walked through an open field, her sun hat sat lightly on the top of her head black hair. Her laugh could be heard echoing across the open field as she slowly ran through it, tailing her was a man about the same age. As they chased one another, careless and unaware of the future, there love grew and a child was born. Kaage, the one that was born of shadow, was a born vampire that required a blood sacrifice. Born about five years before the Apocalypse, she tasted life before hell happened. Her parents had led a simple and easy life then, even for vampires with somewhat of a busy life style.
The dream was a pleasant but lonely one, her parents were no longer with her today.
Kaage started to slowly wake once again, the pain still lingered in her leg and she had the worse headache of life. Her hearing was back and the shouting around the room upset her, she was tired and hungry. So Hungry! Should they not be serving her? Was she not the future leader of Nabila? But yet they stand there yelling among there selves like human children, they could be fighting over some type of toy for all she knew. Slowly opening her red eyes a small hiss escaped her lips, there was little light in the room but it hurt her eyes anyway. In front of her stood Adair, her loyal protected human who she saved. The rest in the room argued over what to do about her, apparently she was about to die over silver. "Simple fools! How dare you stand there and argue, while I lay here hungry and apparently dyeing!" Her voice was still a little weak, but it was hard to miss the anger in it.
The three royal vampires faced there future leader and bowed there heads in respect, though only one member actually meant it. They watched as Kaage sat up and inspected her leg, it would take her a day or two to recover fully. Lifting her red gaze toward one of the royal vampires Kaage smiled, and watched the vampire relax slightly. She didn't hesitate when she reached out and snapped his neck, the sound made the room deadly silent. The body fell to the floor with a thud. Her ears heard Adair cry out, and knew he would be slightly scared now. "Hush, go get something to eat in the kitchens." Dismissing the boy, she returned to her meal. Bending down she picked up her prey and brought his neck to her lips. "Next time have supper waiting, or one of you will be my supper next." Sinking her fangs into the flesh, Kaage welcomed the blood.

His breathing began coming in small rapid breaths, they almost appeared to be pants. At times, it was easier to take in air, than it was to let it go. His broad torso heaved irregularly as the small closet-like room got even smaller and darker, if at all possible, as it began closing in on him. His vision narrowed down into a dark nothingness, but forced himself to keep them open in hopes that something would give the slightest hint of light. The lack of it, however, continuously had him wondering whether or not his eyes were closed, since he was virtually blind either way. Logan kept his hand gripping the doorknob tightly in fear that the black oblivion might swallow him whole if he would have let go.
Trying to keep his mind from wandering into nightmare-driven thoughts, he attempted to listen in on what was being said just outside the closet. He heard male voices. Adult male voices. Who they belonged to, he didn't quite know for the fact that the silence that surrounded him rang in his ears loudly, making it hard to concentrate and causing him to become almost deaf. Logan knew that if he wanted to continue being hidden, he had to stop his fear of compact spaces to a minimum. Especially now if he didn't want to put Adair and the girl into any more trouble or any possible risk.
Mothers were caring and loving towards their children. They kissed their wounds to make them better, and read them bedtime stories. They made their favorite foods and sometimes let them eat dessert before dinner. They got rid of your nightmares. Or at least other mothers did. Not his.
His mother placed his nightmares there.
She often left marks on his small child body. Marks that varied in colors like purple, green, black and red. Marks that took different sizes and locations. While one week it would be on his back, the next it would be on an arm, while the following week it could be found surrounding an eye or tinting a busted lip. However, this wasn't even the worst of it.
Logan gave off a noticeable shudder as he recalled the box cellar.
The air that would hit his skin was beyond freezing. The darkness blanketed his tiny frame, swallowing him whole. The only sound that rung in his ears were his shallow breaths that deafened him. When it rained, the cellar floor flooded like no tomorrow.
The box of a cellar was barely tall enough for him to sit in, but he still had to duck his head into his knees. His small shoulders sunk low, and barely managed to have some room on either side of him before they would hit a wall. His arched back rested on the wall behind him, while his feet could touch the one in front of him without them needing to be extended.
When hot tears wouldn't get him out any quicker, and would only cause the woman to yell insults of his bitch-like behavior, he stopped them from coming out, even though they threatened to pour out every time.
By now he managed to keep them in entirely, but his knees never failed to grow weak beneath him, causing him to collapse to his knees. His breaths began to slow down and he began growing light-headed. The new powerful smell of blood wasn't helping either. He knew his eyes began turning red as the smell hit his sense of smell hard. What the hell was going on out there?

The warmth of blood when it first touches the lips sends a signal through a vampires body, one of pure hunger and lust. Blood could make a vampire become high off the rich taste, and the fresher the blood the better. In this case Kaage drank until every drop of blood had left the body, except for the few drops on the floor soaking into her elegant flooring. As the she vampire dropped the body to the floor and stood up, she met the other royal vampires gaze for a moment. "Now I hope you both learn to hold your tongue, or you'll both join this guy." About to dismiss them, Kaage picked up another scent. It smelled of vampire and a male one, one that seemed a little familiar, but she was unsure who exactly it was. Letting out a a growl that started from low in her throat, Kaage disappeared and reappeared in front of the closet door. Leaning forward she took a deep breath in through her nose, picking up the scent she opened the door.
The sight before her amused Kaage to no end, something different for a change. He was defiantly the one that had saved her, the one that carried her back here though he could have left her to die. With a glance over at the royal vampires, who dared not move from there spot, Kaage motioned for him to step out of the closet. "Do you usually hide in peoples closets?" Her amused tone made the other royals relax, and they took the chance to move slightly and see who else was in the room. The looks on there faces were not pleasant, for why would a common vampire be here among them. "Come sit out here with us, we were just finishing up some lunch." Turning away from him and toward the couch, Kaage wondered how she could repay this man. He did save her life, so she owed him something. Or did she? She could just tell him to leave, but she would see how things went.

While the darkness of the closet seemed to clutch onto his throat, not letting him take deep breaths, the scent of blood that filled the room threatened to drown him. Both, of which, were not good feelings at all, especially combined as they were now.
Logan immediately felt the rush of fresh air when someone had opened the door, causing him to jolt forward due to his firm grasp on the doorknob, and land on one knee. Taking large breaths of air, he attempted to listen as a female voice questioned him and his actions. He looked up puzzled with a slight hint of anger.
"Yes. I do this for fun, actually," he started as he began getting up and composing himself. As he finally stood straight up, he noticed how short the female really was. Sure, he expected it from the start, but her wolf form didn't show it, and the other half she had spent it lying nearly dead in his arms.
His red tinted eyes focused in on the dead royal that lay limp on the floor. The other two seemed to relax some upon hearing her playful tone, which he found somewhat mocking. When he brought his own gaze to meet theirs, they looked anything but content with his "common" appearance. What else would he have expected? No civilian from the west wing was ever caught in the royals east wing. The simple "high and mighty" personality of theirs sickened him.
It did however, baffle him that she invited him to join in on their so-called feast. Was she trying to amuse the other royals or something? Or was she legitimately attempting to be civil?
Walking in the general direction that the couch was in, he continued standing after she sat down. "It's fine. I'll stand," he sayed straining to keep his voice from sounding utterly annoyed. Which he could not do much about while in the presence of the stuck up royals.

The two that stood before her were starting to annoy the female vamp, and she had no patience for them at the moment. She needed something for them to do, a job to keep them busy for awhile. Otherwise they would just return for more gossip, that's all the royals wanted these days. Something to keep them busy, seeing as most were to lazy to do much else. She needed to find new staff for her royal council, vampires that would not shy from nothing. Maybe during the upcoming party, by then she would find some loyal members. Noticing that Logan preferred to stand, Kaage wondered what she should give to him. Maybe an upgrade to his living quarters would suit him? He did save her life, though she would rather not admit it. She hoped her people would not think less of her, she had been caught off guard.
It didn't happen to much these days.
Clearing her throat and sending a warning glance at the two royals, Kaage stretched out her leg and began to speak. "You two are responsible for covering this up, people at the market who saw us will need there minds wiped." She hoped no one had recognized her at the market, she didn't need news about the situation getting out. Leaning back in the couch and not really looking at anyone, she could smell the vampire on her floor. It was drained of blood, so it was of little use to her. "Also please dispose of this body, and remember who is in charge around here. Unless you prefer to end up like your friend on the floor..." She glanced toward the body, and watched as the royals did the same. "A shame that I have to find something to cover the stain on my floor now."
The two royal council members stared at the dead body on the floor, they did not have any wish to join him. There lives were to important in there own eyes, and with a glance at each other they started to get things done. One member left the room in a hurry, off to do what was needed of them. The remaining member bent over the body and picked it up, disgust clearly written on there face. But who would ever want to carry a dead body that smelled? As they left the room, and everything went quite, Kaage glanced at Logan. "Now that there gone I can be honest with you. If you hadn't been there I would have died in the tunnels, alone and in extreme pain. So to thank you I will have your living quarters upgraded, we have a few things in storage and you can have your pick." She had just taken a trip to storage a couple days ago, she had spotted a few unique weapons. But maybe he was against weapons? But it didn't matter, the storage was full of items.
