Shards of pain kept stabbing his side, and even though he dropped twice to clench the unbearable pain that his rib caused, he knew he had to reach the others. Even though he was the only vampire in this fight now, he still had to try to come up top in the end. The fact that he had been able to smell and see the blood turned him restless, which in this particular case, was a good thing, but he knew it was going to end up being a problem later when he tried to control the thirst.
Seeing shadows up ahead, he all but thanked the heavens for them not being any further. He didn't know how much more running he could take.
Something shown bright against the reflection of the fire. Logan squinted his eyes as he walked a little bit closer. Was that what he thought it was? When they waved it around some, his suspicions were made true. He couldn't help but mouth the word 'silver' to himself.
Taking the opportunity that both the men's backs were to him and were facing the she-wolf, he silently got close enough to the point where he was within distance to jump onto one of their backs and simply... take them out. He could feel his eyes growing into a darker shade of red as he thought that maybe, just maybe, he'll take this man's blood. All with the reason that it was for the better of everyone. Sure, wolf's blood wasn't as satisfying as that of a human, and the taste was much more bitter, but he knew what he had to do.
Just as he jumped on the back of the man that was standing on the left and held on with all four limbs, he saw the other prance forward and slash the young she-wolf in the leg with the silver. This couldn't be good.

Her ears picked up the sound of faint footsteps that were getting closer toward them, it was only a matter of seconds before they would be in site. The two in front of her seemed cautious enough, but still they moved forward toward her and not away. Perhaps the person coming was there friend, the third person that disappeared on her. But as the shadow in the tunnel came closer Kaage could smell the male vampire, as he turned the corner she pretended he was not there. If he could take one of the mutts out, she could easily take down the other mutt.
But even knowing he was there did not help her, she hesitated for only a couple seconds. Taking a look over at the other two struggling to win the fight, Kaage then turned to her own prey when something sliced into her leg. There was a burning pain that spread up her leg, but this did not stop her from chewing the mans arm off. He screamed as he struggled to get away. Kaage dropped the arm on the ground her instincts told her to go home, she needed somewhere safe to heal and become strong once again. Somewhere with plenty of blood.

The razor sharp edge of the silver penetrated her skin, which could only mean that the remnants of the mineral would seep into her system with the flow of blood. Even though the wound was at the furthest end from the heart, since the slice had been made on one of the hind legs, it would eventually make it's round and circulate the silver within the pumping heart which was fatal to any wolf. Although she was a wolf in her current state, she was still a Nabila vampire.
No matter how much Logan hated being a vampire, and even more so one that couldn't leave the confines of Nabila for a lengthy amount of time, he was still indebted to the vampires there. They had helped him through his change and guided him in adjusting into his new lifestyle. One that he clearly despised, but had nevertheless been somewhat grateful for.
He knew that she would need medical attention. And quickly at that. The medicine that was offered in the tunnels might be of some use, but they were still a bit sketchy compared to those that were provided in their territory.
Coming back to the subject at hand, he saw the she-wolf rip the man's arm off, just after he had sliced her leg with the silver. The man must have been shocked in some way, because he continued squirming on the floor (possibly in attempt to figure out why he was one arm short) long enough for Logan to prance on top of him and snap his neck all within a swift movement.

The pain that now crawled up her left back leg was now creeping closer to the heart, soon she would need medicine and plenty off blood. If only she could get back to her room, Adair would know what herbs she needed. Her protected human had saved her a few times already, she was glad she acquired him. Turning her gaze onto the other vampire for a moment, Kaage started to turn back into her vampire form. It was once again painful to turn, but more now due to the silver. But now in vampire form they would move more quickly and freely in the tunnels.
Now in vampire form she would have no problem communicating with the other, he seemed to be trust worthy. If he was still here with her after all this, she would see if he wanted to come along. She may need him still, if they were to run into trouble that is. With a sigh and a glance to her leg, Kaage finally decided to say something. "Well that went quite well, don't you think?" She smiled for a moment before glancing down the tunnel. "I must make it back to Nabila before I'm missed. I would greatly appreciate it if you walk with me until I reach my home?" Turning her gaze on him she wondered what he would do.

The smell of the man engulfed his senses as his body lay underneath bleeding out from where his arm used to be located. Logan could feel his eyes turn an even brighter shade of red. He knew that it was mainly because he refused to drink any blood starting four days ago, and was seriously deprived of the liquid, but he didn't want to rely on it anymore. Not if he had a choice. Although it was almost impossible to resist, he had to.
Quickly jumping off the lifeless body, he took his sweater off because it had been blotted, if not bathed, in blood. He simply couldn't have the essence of it following him everywhere he went. It was a loss of a perfectly good sweater, but that was the better option than losing his control over temptation.
When the girl spoke to him, he noticed right away that she had some sort of tone to her voice. Possibly that of authority perhaps? Whatever it was, it wasn't one of a regular teenage girl. That much, he did know.
"Yeah, sure. whatever", he said not fully realizing how careless he had sounded until the words escaped his mouth. He closed his eyes and began to apologize shortly after, "Sorry, that... wasn't supposed to come out like that."
Walking closer to her smaller figure, he quickly knelt down to examine the wound on her leg. The cut was deep. Deeper than what he expected, but hopefully not too deep that getting to Nabila was out of the question. Reaching into his back pocket, he pulled out a handkerchief that he always had around just in case. "It looks pretty deep, but we should be able to reach Nabila before it gets any worse", he said more to himself than to her as he folded the piece of cloth in half diagonally.
Doing this until the cloth was creased into a two inch width, he wrapped it around the wound paying most of his attention to the upper half of it as he knotted it to hold it's place. "This should keep most dirt out from this point on. The pressure isn't enough to stop the flow, but it should delay it so the silver won't reach your heart as quick as it normally should", he said as he dusted his jeans off with his hands as he got up.

Watching as the stranger bent down close to her leg, Kaage made sure not to flinch as he touched the wound. It still burned like it was on fire and the wound was turning black now. There was now small black veins crawling up her leg, it's main path would be to her very heart. True she was a vampire and dead, but the silver would do the trick and kill her. Unless she was able to reach home before then, Adair would know what herbs to use. She had taught him much sense there time together, he knew almost as much as her when it came to herbs.
Shaking out of her own thoughts, Kaage glanced down at her leg once more. The bandage would do until she got back home, and would slow the bleeding so it wouldn't leave a track. All they needed was werewolves following them, it wouldn't end good for her if they did follow in pursuit. "Thanks, I needed that." She bent her leg a bit to get a good feel of it, the pain was there but Kaage ignored it. "Alright, Nabila should be this way. Not to far off, I will be able to make it back. Adair can make something for the silver..." Closing her eyes for a moment, Kaage started to get dizzy. Most likely from loss of blood, which was just going to get worse. " We better hurry." Starting down the tunnel, Kaage made sure to move fast but she was getting worse.

With an injury like the one she had, Logan was certain that she would be limping as they made their way back to their territory. The strain that she would be putting on the wounded leg would cause her blood to pump through it at a quicker pace than it normally would, which meant that the bandage would not be doing much of it's job in slowing it down.
Turning to face her some, he saw a clouded expression in her eyes. Not only was her system pumping her blood faster, the silver was beginning to take effect on her body. One could simply tell by the way she was beginning to sway in her walk. Logan knew that she was probably prideful enough to not want any help, but at this particular moment, she didn't have much of a choice to choose from.
Stopping after a couple of steps, he gave off a sigh as he crouched down in front of her. "Climb on. The effort that you're putting into walking is making your circulation make it's round faster, which at the moment, we can't really afford. We need to get you off your leg."

The silvers poison was now in full effect, making the female vampire see and hear things that weren't there. The blood she could see on the ground was a few inches deep, it made a slight noise as they walked through it. Glancing toward the male vampire beside her, Kaage remembered that he was real and had helped her. But what if that was all a dream? The sliver in her leg said it had been all real, though she wished it hadn't been. Adair would be upset with her later, if she was alive still. Tripping over her own feet, Kaage used the tunnel wall to balance herself once again.
That's when she heard it a voice that seemed far, but yet it was closer then she thought. Trying to clear her mind Kaage brought a hand up to her face and rubbed her eyes. The voice was now in front of her and she was unsure who was specking to her, something about blood and getting off her leg. Glancing at him she couldn't truly see who it was, her vision was now starting to blur. Glancing down at the figure Kaage smiled as she seen Adair, but he should be home not in the tunnels where he could get hurt. "Adair? What are you doing here, I've told you not to leave home." Moving to grab him she realized it wasn't Adair, but someone bigger and possibly a threat. Letting our a small growl that sounded pathetic, Kaage turned to leave when her body collapsed to the ground.

Although it seemed as if she was looking right back at him, her vision was clouded, unfocused even. She was physically there, stumbling and uneasy, but her mentality was clearly out of range. That much, he was certain on.
"Adair?" he heard himself ask in a whisper, more to himself than towards her, when he heard her ask for him. He shook his head some since he knew that she was not all that aware of their surroundings at that moment. Whoever this Adair person was, she seemed to care about him. Seeing as to how she had told him that he was not able to leave Nabila's confines.
Dropping his dark brows just as quickly as he had raised them, he let out a sigh before he saw the girl hit the ground. She had growled before she fell though. At him? Logan knew it was useless to ask her, since she was in a deep state of unconscious. He did, however, begin to apologize internally for having been consumed in his own thoughts to notice her falling down. He dipped down some to pick her up, and carry her in a cradle-like way towards the presumed exit of Nabila.

The area that Adair lived in was one that would calm and sooth any soul, the walls around him were covered in cloth of every color. It was quite a sight and almost seem like heaven for a child. The floors were cold but it felt nice and refreshing, that's why they had painted it ocean blue and even painted a few fish on it. Some of the floor was visible but other parts were covered with the furniture, a few chairs for comfort and a couch that Adair slept on most of the time. If you glanced around the rest of there home you would notice no bed, for Kaage has no need for one and Adair could fit on the couch just fine. Around the room were plenty of shelving able to hold there stuff, old books littered each shelf along with an assortment of other things.
Pacing back and forth through the room a human could be seen, worry clearly written across his face. He went around the room not really doing anything, but trying to keep his mind busy. Kaage had been gone to long, and he was beginning to worry and get bored. She promised to be back shortly, but had been gone hours, and he was weighing the thought of leaving the room. To explore the tunnels alone without someone following him would be nice, but he was told never to go out alone. Most of the vampires around here knew him and came to like him, but Kaage had said some could not resisted his human blood. He didn't really understand why they went crazy for blood, he didn't go crazy for food or something to drink.

Although she was fundamentally dead weight, she was not that heavy as he cradled her in his arms towards Nabila. The tunnels seemed everlasting as he maneuvered his way through the maze-like passages with ease. He recalled being told stories that some would get lost in the passages, but Logan found it somewhat difficult to achieve a state. They would have to be completely distracted of all five senses in order to accomplish becoming stray.
Logan had to squint to keep the brightness of the clouded day from blinding him entirely, as he reached the end of the tunnel. The grass felt spongey compared to the solid stone that the tunnel was produced of as he strode over it with ease. His long legs gave way to long strides that would help him reach their refuge faster. She did not shift in his arms, which made him a little worried, but he knew it was because of the silver that coursed through her bloodstream. He could hear her low unsteady breathing as she struggled some to regulate her inhales and exhales back to normal.
Whoever this Adair person was, the girl had made it appear as if he were to be the one to help her in this situation. Therefore, he knew that he would have to go find this mysterious person and transfer the aching female over to them. The only problem with that seemingly simple solution, was the locating of the clandestine person.

The dream this time was different then those she had before, it seemed more peaceful and quite. The sound of a running stream could be hear near by, and surrounding her in every direction was a lush green forest. Above her light could be seen slipping through the tree tops, and the birds could be heard singing in the branches. Kaage moved ahead toward the sound of running water, it felt like the right thing to do. Like all her answers for life would be there waiting for her. Stepping into a small clearing the stream could now be seen, it's clear blue water moved forward without care. A few more steps and Kaage stood above the stream and looked at her reflection, it was not her own face she was looking at, but that of her mothers. Her eyes looked at her before the image moved and it was it's own form, smiling the image of her mother pointed toward Kaage. Telling her it was not time to be together yet, she still had plenty of work left to do. Slowly slipping back into sleep, Kaage started to wake up.
Opening her eyes it took her a moment to realize she was being carried, but her moment of fear left as her memory slowly came back to her. She knew walking was out of the question, she would not be able to use her leg. "We need to get back to Nabila, take me to Adair. He is my protected human, and will have the medicine." Her voice sounded a little different to her ears, and her vision once again was failing her. "He lives in the master chambers, find him and tell him what happen for me please." She looked into his eyes for a moment, then rested her face against his chest and fell asleep once again.

The forest was quiet, however very peaceful. There was a light cool wind that ran through the bed of trees and rustled the bushes that were scattered around the floor. Every now and then, when the sudden gust grazed upon his gently tanned arms, he felt himself restrain a chill. He did not want to risk any sudden movements since he still cradled the sleeping girl in-between his arms and chest. He did, however, notice that for a vampire, she did have a warmer temperature than most. Logan knew that she was part wolf and all, but the temperature of both should have leveled her overall body heat down to that of a regular human.
He looked down at her when he felt her move the slightest bit. To his surprise, she had already been looking at him when his gray eyes met her gaze; clearly making him wonder how long she had been staring at him. Before he could ask her though, she began talking in slow breaths.
Nabila. Adair. Human. Medicine. Master Chambers. These were the details he had gotten before her eyelids fell and she was once again asleep nestled against his broad chest. The breaths that escaped past her slightly parted pale lips made it evident that the silver was closing in to her vitals.
Making his long strides even longer, he swore that he would make it there in time. She lived in the master chambers. Which only made Logan conclude that she was much more important than he knew. If she went missing, or turned up dead, Nabila would make sure to find who or what had been the cause of it, and more than likely make their lives ill-fated. Not that much could be done at this point since three of the four wolves were already taken care of back at the market and the tunnels, and would not be causing any more harm to any other.
Just then, he remembered the thought that was tugging at him back in the tunnels. What had happened to that fourth wolf? Certainly he could not have just disappeared into thin air. He had to be lurking somewhere.
Logan looked around him to make notice of all his surroundings. Nothing seemed out of place, and the birds were still singing their melodic tunes, which meant they did not sense any kind of threat near. With a few more seconds of scouting the area, he finally gave himself a reassuring nod that nothing was following them, but made complete sure that he kept his guard up just in case he turned out to be wrong.
Ten minutes had gone by, and Nabila was in sight. He felt himself let out a large exhale as he saw it's closeness.
Walking past the steel doors that were kept guarded from outsiders, and into their refuge, Logan made way towards the master chambers that were set in the east wing. He had never had a reason to venture into the wing before, and once he had walked in, he knew why.
The royals that lived there stared at the misplaced lad that carried a seemingly lifeless body, and evidently thought he was lost or something of the sort. Logan knew it was because they were aware of the fact that he was a transformed vampire, unlike their own pure blood. Their kind looked down on those like him. Transformed, that is. They were to always come second no matter what. The simple thought that others thought of themselves higher because it was their "birth right" to be so disgusted him.
He felt himself burn his own scowl into their expressions as he forced them to look away from them and mind their own business. His footsteps made his appearance noticeable every time his work boots stepped onto the cool stone-like substance. They stopped only once he reached the double doors that secured the master chamber from intruders. Easing the resting girl into one medium sized arm carefully as to not wake her, he held up the other and knocked on the set of doors.

The sounds flouting around the room buzzed in everyone's ear, the music was soothing but not to loud. It let the guests talk among themselves as they tried the drinks, and a few mingled around the desert table. True. Vampires did not need human food to live, but it didn't mean they couldn't have a few deserts now and then. But as the main door burst open the soothing music might have kept playing, but all conversation stopped to see who was interrupting. The royal vampires have there moods, sometimes they would just ignore something like this. But at the present time they had begun to grow bored, and this was just another thing for them to gossip about. As conversation started up again a man moved out of the party, slipping into the shadows he entered the master chambers.
Adair had known something like this would happen, and when some stranger burst through the doors with kaage he knew what had happened. Slipping off toward the master chambers, Adair kept himself out of sight. Something he could do well among so many tall adults, so when he entered the master chambers no one noticed. He had watched Kaage suffer from silver a few times before, and was glad she kept the medicine stocked at all times. She had shown him how to make it once, and he had practiced until he knew it by heart. Almost tripping over a rug in his rush, Adair knocked over a vase and watched it smash to the floor. "Great. Kaage is so going to kill me if she survives." Before he could do anything there was a loud knock on the door behind him. Forgetting about the vase and rushing to the door, Adair pulled it open and motioned for the man to enter.

As he continued standing right in front of the door with the limp girl in his arms, he could feel the stares some of the royals were giving him burn his back. It was obvious that they did not want him there as much as much as he did not want to be there. That much was certain. Knocking yet again, the door finally opened this time, but Logan was clearly not expecting what his eyes landed on once they had. On the other side was a young kid. This could not possibly be the Adair that would help her recuperate, right? He was only a child; not a day over ten it seemed like.
Shaking his head to relieve his mind some, he did as the young boy asked him to do with his gesture, and stepped inside the chamber. He took quick notice of the room's structure. There were shelves that were stocked with various books and other decorations. Couches and seats with their matching coffee and side tables. Colorful rugs that covered the blue floor. All in all, the room was very spacious and possibly three times bigger than his own home that resided in the west wing of Nabila. His did, however, contain a bed, unlike this chamber. Although he knew he did not need sleep, he still liked to pretend as if he did. Pretend as if he were still somewhat human on the inside.
Stepping over the broken ceramic that he concluded used to be a vase, and very expensive at that, he made way towards the large couch. Logan made sure not to stir the girl too much as he gently let her down onto the piece of furniture. After lifting her head up with a couple of the surrounding pillows to keep her head elevated, he backed away some to let the boy, who he come to believe was Adair, begin treating her wounds. They appeared almost black at the source which was located on the lower half of her leg. It seemed to look like a burn mark instead of a stab wound.
"What now?" he said over to the white haired boy that was around half his own size.
